This experience documents Burbank's rich, hidden history of wine making, and the
various families who immigrated from Italy to start it. These families (Brusso, Mcclure, Randisi,
and Grangetto) all purchased their grapes from Ann Morra Frescura’s vineyard, which spanned
over 70 acres throughout Burbank. Modern day borders for the farm are Naomi Street to Parish
Place, and Kenneth Road to Tulare Street. Wineries were roughly located around the corners of
the following locations: Keystone St & Scott St, Glenoaks BLVD & Keystone St, Cambridge
Drive & N. Bel Aire Drive, N. Hollywood Way & Thornton Street, along with N. Ontario &
Thornton St. Signs on these corners will be used to trigger an augmented reality experience that
gives the audience an insight into the history, process, and end of wine making in Burbank.
My experience will start with a visual growth of grapes vines around the poles of the
different signs. Once the plant is done growing, interactive signs will display images and
documents of the life and history of each winery once you tap them. These images range from the
process of wine making to aerial views of vineyards. A pop up a sign (also tap-able) directing you
to the next location appears to the left to continue your tour
